Matthew Morton
Director

An energetic, diligent and skilled Electrician with exceptional attention to detail and 15+ years experience in the Electrical & Construction industry.

With the majority of my businesses works taking place at the Local Defence Facility, I have extensive knowledge in both the National Electrical Code (NEC) as well as Australian Standards, carrying out and enforcing all works to be of the highest possible standard.

An experienced and driven Carpenter with strong interpersonal skills and over 13+ years experience in the industry. The ability to coordinate trades, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with architects, engineers and vendors to ensure the timely and professional completion of projects is one of my biggest assets.

My extensive experience in building codes and regulations and negotiating contracts helps me bring forth my expertise in team building, leadership and quality control management for every job I take on.

Clive Hickey
Project Manager
As Project Manager for MBC, Clive believes that working hard and communicating with internal and external stakeholders is the key to success. Clive was brought up to believe you will be rewarded for hard work and if presented a challenge, he will not rest until he has
completed said challenge.

Clive has supported numerous projects ranging from large scale technical projects to smaller scale renovations.

His experience, dedication and loyalty allow stakeholders to gain confidence in his ability, on behalf of Morton Brothers Contracting, to complete technical tasks seamlessly and coordinate construction tasks, scheduling work, and manage resources, whilst continually providing support to MBC supervisors and management. In his current role he is regarded highly by his customers for his honest approach to managing expectations.

Clive holds a Diploma in Project Management and a Certificate III in Electrotechnology. These qualifications and experiences allow Clive to drive excellence with a focus on customer
service.

Rodney Kammann
Electrical Supervisor
Rodney is a certified Electrician with over 15+ years of residential, industrial and commercial experience. Rodney’ has completed his Cert III in Electrotechnology and his skillset ranges from complex installations, diagnosis & repair, commissioning and problem solving to name a few.

Rodney’s position within MBC is a Project Supervisor, in which he works closely with the Directors and Project Manager to ensure that; deadlines are met, reading & interpreting drawing packages so that accurate stocks of materials are ordered, and to ensure that productivity is high within the work crew assigned to him. Rodney has a strong and passionate desire to direct, educate and monitor others, especially those up and coming into the electrical trade.

Rodney has extensive experience in split system installs and wiring, power board upgrades, optical fibre installations, terminations, and new house installations.

Rodney carries out all his work to a very high standard and takes pride in his meticulous manner and attention to detail that has recognised him to be an exceptional skilled tradesperson. There is no task too big or too small for Rodney and he thrives on rising to the challenge that each day brings.

Chris Daffy
Electrical Supervisor
Chris is a qualified, motivated and experienced electrician who has been working in the electrical
industry for 8+ years, having previously worked in the mining sector. Chris started at Morton Bros Contracting as an electrical apprentice, then once qualified, he quickly moved up the ranks to now be a Project Supervisor on large scale projects.

Chris takes on all roles with a professional and positive attitude. He has proficient knowledge in both Australian and US electrical standards and codes. Not only is Chris a works supervisor, he also carries a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety which means that safety to him is paramount. Chris believes in the motto “Safety by choice, not by Chance” which echoes the beliefs of Morton Bros Contracting as a business.

Chris’s work as a supervisor ranges from managing trades, understanding & working off of drawing packages, liaising with both Project Managers & directors and carrying out the technical works himself. Chris takes pride in his role with Morton Bros Contracting and is proud to see the results that come from his hard work.

Cassandra Kammann
Office/Accounts Manager

Cassie is a hard-working, dedicated and highly organised bookkeeper with over 8+ years experience in the bookkeeping industry. She started working for Morton Bros Contracting in early 2018 as a part-time bookkeeper/Admin assistant and her role within Morton Bros Contracting now sees her as a highly respected office manager whom is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the office along with crucial management of the finances within the business.

She has a strong focus on ensuring that communication within the team happens and that deadlines are met. Cassie believes that the best way to build your skillset is to go out of your comfort zone and tackle the unknown head on.

In her career, Cassie has completed Cert II & III in Business Administration, Cert III in Accounts and is currently studying Cert IV in Accounts. Cassie thrives on learning new skills and is always up for a challenge. If she is unsure of how to do something, it becomes her sole focus to do whatever is necessary to achieve the unknown. Cassie works closely with external consultants to ensure that the business is tracking on the right path and to gain as many benefits as possible to ensure the businesses success.

Cassie prides herself on watching Morton Bros Contracting as a business grow and reach new heights each year, with the continual support of herself and the other management team within the business.. Having worked in both small privately owned businesses, and also government organisations throughout her career, Cassie firmly believes that you get much more of a reward working in the private sector as you are dealing with someone on a much more personal level and you all work together to achieve the same result.

Cassie cannot wait to see what is in store for Morton Bros Contracting in the future.

Adam Jericho
Building Supervisor
Adam is a hard-working, dedicated and highly organised Carpenter with over 12+ years’ experience in the construction industry. His role within Morton Bros Contracting sees his as a highly respected Construction Supervisor. He has a demonstrated history of leading successful projects for residential, commercial and industrial clientele. Adam has proven leadership skills that continually see projects be completed within the time and budget constraints.

Specialising in Steel fabrication, Kitchen & Bathroom Re-modelling, Tiling & splash-backs and concreting to name a few, Adam takes on each project with a can-do attitude and has a strong sense of pride and drive to guarantee the customer the best end product

Adam has extensive experience working with construction equipment & machinery such as, welding equipment, levels, power saws, excavators & skid-steers. He has a strong background in construction and building, with skills in carpentry, Shop fit-outs, repairs, and more.

Knowledge of all safety regulations and procedures required for the job are backed by his Cert IV in Work Health & Safety which he has held for 3+ years. Adam takes the safety of all workers and those parties involved with the construction projects seriously and ensures safety directions are followed at all times.

Adam is a natural leader with the ability to adapt to and nurture the various individual learning styles. His passion for excellent workmanship along with quality construction for each task, no matter how small, separates him from his competition.

Philippe Quirion

Building Supervisor

Our dedicated Building Supervisor Phil, hails originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and we couldn’t be more grateful that he chose to be part of our team at Morton Bros Contracting.

Phil started his carpentry apprenticeship in 2008 and has now been certified for 10 years. He moved to Australia five years ago, and been in Alice Springs for four years. Phil enjoys carpentry because “it’s such a broad field and we get to work on all stages of the build.”

Phil is a very trusted and loyal employee, there is no task too complex or daunting for Phil. He really does live up to the Canadian stereotype of being “the friendliest guy around”. He is always willing to put in the big hours and hard yards to get a job done and with perfection.

Not only is Phil an all-round nice guy, he specialises in all aspects of carpentry from tiling to whole house renovations. Phil leads his team with confidence and professionalism.

Nithin Sai

Junior Project Manager

Nithin joined the MBC team early in 2022 as a Junior Project Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Masters in Construction Management. Nithin’s role includes overseeing projects from start to finish, working alongside Brett, Clive and Matt on large projects and making sure all is going to plan. Nithin’s work ethic and organisational skills are second to none. He ensures all aspects of the construction process, both on and off-site, are moving forward and liaises with professionals, contractors, supervisors, and general laborers.
